Whaz Up
This year at girls camp, the theme for the stake was Up. We had 7 ups (step, lift, rise, speak, cheer, look, and wake) that were our focus during the week. It was a very service-oriented week. Here's some of what went on at girls camp:
certification
line dancing
adventure books
devotionals
singing tree
family home evening
golden hour
service projects
story time
skits
ice cream social
sunrise hike
bug spray
lake time
shower time
braiding hair
painting nails
duct tape rings
crafts
faith walk
challenge course
lasso your dreams games
dinner with bishopric
testimony meeting
cabin cleaning
late nights
fly swarms
great food
hard beds
Uinta Ground Squirrels (potguts)
deer
moths
It was a great girls camp this year and I'm so glad I got to go with Daughter #1 again. I just love getting to know the girls and the leaders better and in a relaxed setting. It was a great experience.

Letters
Dear Pansy, Daisy, Tulip and Matilda,
Is it really necessary to make such a ruckus while deciding who will sleep where in the coop? I appreciate you hens putting yourselves to bed every night, but really. A little more calmly, please.
Love, Tara
Dear Morning Glories,
You won the battle months ago, and I acknowledged it then, so you can stop trying to win. This is getting silly.
Love, Tara
Dear Dishes and Laundry,
I know you are both just looking for attention, but multiplying every time I turn my back is not the way I'd like you to do it. Washing and putting away yourselves would get my attention very nicely.
Love, Tara
Dear Family,
Thank you for only creating a small amount of contention during our Family Home Evening tonight. It was nice to remain in a good mood. Unlike last night. Ahem.
Love, Mom
Dear Kitchen Blinds,
I'd like to thank you for being willing to get cleaned today. You sure were grody and now are so white and beautiful. Let's see if you can stay that way for a good long while, okay? Especially the one above the sink.
Love, Tara
Dear Etsy Users,
Thank you for looking at my shop and favoriting items I've made. It sure gives me a thrill to see a good number of views in my shop. I'm still waiting to sell one of you something, so keep on looking at my stuff and it will happen someday.
Love, socuteandfumps
Dear Amazon,
Thank you for having so many free ebooks for my Kindle. I've read many stories I wouldn't have thought to read if it wasn't for you. Arabian Nights is currently being read and thoroughly enjoyed. Keep up the good work and free ebooks!
Love, Tara

Two New Callings
This morning my son and Daughter #1 each met with a bishopric member. My son has been asked to be the secretary in the Teachers Quorum and Daughter #1 will be the 1st counsellor in the Beehive class. My son was set apart today and my daughter will be set apart next week. This will be a great opportunity for both of them and I know they will do well and be responsible in their callings. I'm very proud of both of them for accepting these new responsibilities.

Today is the Day...
I will do everything on my to-do list. It's mostly a bunch of little, easy tasks. I will not be distracted by media or naps. I will stay focused. I will do this!!!
