I really love this kind of weather. Windy, wet and cold outside. Inside the house it's warm and cozy. There are no tomatoes waiting for me to can them. I've got a Ginger Spice Cake candle burning and it's so pleasant in here.
Last night's trick-or-treating was so easy. I didn't have to do anything. My husband took the three youngest out around the neightborhood. Daughter #1 went out with her friends. My son answered the door and handed out candy. I was in my bed reading a book. It was so nice. That's the way to do it!
I let each kid choose 20 candies. The rest will either go into food storage or be turned into our dentist's office for cash. They will send the candy to the troops overseas. I love that idea.
What a great Halloween! Sounds divine! I'm glad your kids are old enough to help out more now. It seems to make life more pleasant for you. :) I like the idea of sending the candy overseas. Very cool!
