Run Like the Wind?

One of our Young Women leaders is organizing a 5K run for us to do in September.  Since the majority of those participating are not runners, we are meeting weekly to run/walk to practice for the 5K.  I have never been a regular exerciser, so I knew this wouldn't be easy.  This morning was our first time to practice.  Yikes.  I was given the assignment to bring up the rear to make sure no one was left behind.  That was the perfect job for me, as I was quite a bit behind already.  I know I'm not in shape, but really?  We'll see how this goes.

Daughter #1 joined our group this morning and did really well.  I'm very pleased she is doing this with me.  Well, way ahead of me, really!

  1. Way to go, Tara! It'll come easier the more you do it. Before last summer, I could never run more than a minute or two at a time without feeling like I was going to die but now I can run for 20+ minutes and not feel winded at all. It's nice. You'll get there!
